Richard J. Radna is a spinal Micro-Neurosurgeon. The delicate surgery which he performs requires magnification and the depth perception provided by a stereoscopic operating
microscope.
Surgical assistants use a stereo-3D display, viewed through polarizing glasses to support the
surgery. Every operation is recorded stereographically, so that whole the procedure can be reviewed and
archived.
"One of the greatest responsibilities of a surgeon is to maintain an accurate record of every
surgery," says Dr. Radna. "This is particularly important when secondary surgery is
required. Stereo 3D documentation of an earlier operation provides a superb guide for navigating through scar tissue to find vital neural
structures. We value FrameCycler because it allows the user optimal data access and customization of stereo 3D
viewing. This kind of precision really matters in the work we do."
