The out-of-focus foreground creates a dramatic immediacy with this shot.

Subtle lighting is accented with blue tones for a more intimate atmosphere.

Dramatically lit aerial shots are graded with the same moody palette.

The Pro35 adapter is used to to create the out-of-focus background accented by the color grading.

The character's pensive expression is reflected in the grading of this shot.

The SpeedGrade mask tool is used to create subtle vignettes in each shot.

Le Negociateur

The dramatic depth-of-field effect in this shot was then accented with a vignette in SpeedGrade. providing a very tight feel.

Some of the outdoor scenes were shot with 16 mm and matched to period footage in SpeedGrade.

Intense drama and "the gritty feel of the street" combine in this hit TV series.

Subtle colors captured in backlit subject. The mask enhances the sense of closeness with the character.

It's hard to believe that most of these shots were captured in HD.

Warm skin tones, de-saturated colors, and grain combine to recreate the feel of the seventies on the small screen.
